Ann Richerson went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening June 22 after ending her 7 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends in her home where she enjoyed sitting in her rocker on the back porch every morning overlooking her field and pond.Hymns were sung and prayers made for a peaceful passing and those left behind. Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Don Richerson, a retired Mesquite Firefighter; her parents IL (Shorty) and Beatrice Clark; and her brothers Bill Clark and Harold Clark. She is survived by her sons Donnie Richerson with his wife Annette of Lake Highlands in Dallas and Jon Richerson of Dallas; her grandchildren Brooke Richerson, Paige Richerson and Jake Richerson (all children of Jon and Candy); her sisters Betty Shamley of Pauls Valley, OK and Karen Locke with husband Jimmy of Lone Camp, TX; numerous nephews, nieces and other family members. She was a member of the Destiny Christian Center of Garland and had countless close friends that she loved who provided her great comfort in her final days. Ann was loved by all who knew her, but she loved them more. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund in her memory.
