ANNE MCCRELESS “To know her was to lover her” said a friend of Anne’s today.Everyone she met would agree. She was so easy to love because she loved others first. Russell Anne Ramsey grew up in Ennis, Texas. She went to East Texas Baptist University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She earned her Master’s degree from SMU. Anne met Clarence McCreless while working at a church in Oklahoma. They married in 1953 and moved to Dallas in 1959.They joined First Baptist Church Dallas and dedicated their lives to serving in the Children’s Ministry. She loved children and enjoyed serving her Lord as a Training Union Superintendent, as a Sunday School Superintendent, the Church Library, in Vacation Bible School, at Jr. Camp, and anywhere else she was needed. She loved her fellowship with the Mission Minded/Abiding Adult Sunday School Class and the many friends she had there. Mrs. McCreless was also a beloved school teacher. Most of her career was spent teaching 1st Grade at Joe Lawrence Elementary in the Mesquite Independent School District. She felt blessed to work with many special people, and loved them all. Anne loved her family. She was blessed with brothers Nick (deceased) Scot (deceased), sisters, Margaray and Florence. They were all good Christians devoted and caring of one another. Mom was loved by everyone she met, but most of all by her children, Ed and Linda. How blessed we were to have such wonderful Christian parents. Both of us were honored and loved being able to take care of Mom after Dad passed away.We both are also blessed with families that Mom loved and that loved her as well. She will be greatly missed by Ed’s family: Star, Katie, Benny, Jordan, Lixis, and Bub, and Linda’s family: Jamie, Carri, Mickey, Josh, Michelle, Kaylee, Maddie, Jace, and Garrett.Everyone loved “Granny Mac”!
