Arline Marie Beavers

September 26, 1928 — February 17, 2018

A Celebration of a Life Well Lived Arline Marie Beavers, 89, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Visitation will be at New Hope Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00. Funeral will be at CLife Church on Wednesday at 11:00. Arline was born September 26, 1928 in Mountain Park, OK and graduated Lawton High School in 1946. That same year she met the love of her life, William “Bill” Beavers. They were married just 4 months later and shared a love that most people only dream of. The light of that love influenced all of those who came in contact with Bill and Arline in the 58 wonderful years they were married. They lived 54 of those years in Arlington, TX where they raised their family and were members of First Baptist Church. She served as a Sunday School teacher and a GA leader for many years. She also did volunteer work for over 20 years at Arlington Memorial Hospital. She moved to Mesquite to live with her daughter and son-in-law in 2008 where she took up walking at the age of 81 and entered several 5K’s where she won first place for her age group. She joined CLife Church and served as a Mentor Mom for MOPS for several years. She was a beacon of joy and kindness everywhere she went and was the oldest member of CLife. She was fearless when faced with so much change at such a ripe age but did so gracefully and graciously. She loved all who she came in contact with and was loved by so many hearts. Arline was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Mable Monkres, Husband Bill Beavers, brothers Pete Slaybaugh and Jack Slaybaugh and wife Lila, Sister-in-law Betty Cox and husband Waymon, brother –in-law Bud Beavers and wife Neva and her in-laws Rufus Beavers and wife Tincy. She often said that Tincy had a profound effect on her life with her kind and gentle ways as she taught her how to be a good wife, a wonderful mom and how to live out the love of Christ. Survivors include her children Rocky Beavers and wife Whit, Randy Beavers and wife Linda, Robin Battle and husband Trice; her grandchildren Brett Beavers, William Battle, Travis Beavers, Brystal Hillert and husband John; her great grandchildren Paisley Hillert and September Baby Hillert; her sister-in-law Earla Slaybaugh and cousin Bill Shupe and wife Francis. She touched many lives as the past few days have shown the family an outpouring of love from so many. Her kindness, love and devotion to God and her family exuded from every part of her life. The light that she shared while she was here can be found in the hearts of the ones she leaves behind. Memorials may be made to CLife Church Missions.
