Brandon Lee Melton

April 3, 1988 — January 3, 2014

Brandon Lee Melton 4/3/88-1/3/14 Brandon Lee Melton, beloved son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He had a troubled youth and was in and out of detention centers for most of his teenage years. He was released from prison in Sept 2012. Many people have been inspired by him since his release because of the way he was turning his life around. He had an excellent job and loved to work hard. He enjoyed training with his friends to box and MMA. He loved to work out. He did yoga and and was a runner. He ate well and took good care of his body and his mind. He loved to read philosophy books and listen to Mozart. He would always be quick with an offer to help with any job that friends or family had and never wanted anything in return. He had words of advice or encouragement for anyone who needed them. Brandon was wise beyond his years. To friends and family hewas a leader and encourager. He was a polite, gentle, determined, smart, humble, loyal, wise, funny, sweet, hard working man. He loved his family and friends and was loved by all who met him. He loved us dearly, and enjoyed spending time with family. He leaves behind many broken hearts and tears. Though the world will never see past his troubled youth and his tragic end, those who knew him and loved him can only wonder why. Brandon was an organ donor. Because of his gift many people will have the opportunity to live long and healthy lives and achieve their dreams. Instead of sending flowers the family asks that a memorial donation be made in his honor to the Cenikor Foundation http://www.cenikor.org/support-cenikor to support recovery for those battling addiction. www.youtube.com/v/Mb1ZvUDvLDY
