Charles Bartow Overstreet

OVERSTREET, Charles Bartow of Mesquite, born June 4, 1924, passed away June 24, 2013. Charlie graduated from Paschal High School in Ft. Worth, TX.He then joined the Marine Corp and served until December 1945.After that he attended TCU and graduated in 1945.He was a retired officer of the United States Army and an industrial relations executive for many years with Pollock Paper Co. & St. Regis Paper Company.After graduation from TCU, he was a practicing Labor Relations Consultant; a labor arbitrator with Federal Mediation & Conciliation service and the American Arbitration Association. Preceded in death by parents, Fay & George Overstreet; son, Randall Blake Overstreet. Survived by wife of 30 years, Dorothy Overstreet; children, Charles Ray Overstreet & wife, Gail Parrott, Kay Overstreet & husband, Fred Heany; step-daughters, Andrea Wilson, Julie Teague & husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Ashley Dix, Andrew Dix & wife, Heather, Nicholas Devenport & wife, Rebecca, Natalie Teague, Nathaniel Teague, Savanna Wilson and Hunter Wilson; great grandchildren, Sierra, Avery, Devin and Kaelynn. Memorial service will be at 2:00PM Tuesday July 2, 2013 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 3217 Guthrie Rd., Garland, TX. 75043. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of your choice.
