Chester Lynn Heard

Chester Lynn Heard November 1933 - June 2013 Resident of Forney, Tx passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer.Chester was born and raised in Palmer, Tx.He graduated from East Texas State University and served his country in the Army for 2 years.He was employed at Lone Star Gas for a period of time which inspired him to open up his own business.Kirk A/C was established in 1964 and continues until present day.In the mid 80's, he founded Terrell Classic Arena and ran it with his wife, Nelda, until they sold it. He was one of 5 children born to Robert & Irene Heard and was the beloved husband of the late Nelda Heard for 32 years.Chester will forever be remembered by his devoted son, Steve Heard and fiance Krissy Mireles of Waxahachie, Tx, and his loving daughter, Kim Ondracek and husband Mike of Emory, Tx, treasured grandchildren Ashley Heard and fiance Don Christensen of Rowlett, Tx & Heather Heard and fiance Nathan Cenkus of Kansis City, MO, step children Dana Southard, Kyle Greenlee step grandchildren Jason Turney and Rebecca Truette beloved great grandchildren Bradyn, Kaleb, Zack, Kelse, Ruby & Natalie and pet Lulu. Chester touched the lives of many people with his dedication and generosity.He was a simple man, not wanting much for himself, but graciously gave and cared for the wants and needs of others.He never missed a NASCAR race, loved Ford Mustangs and was an extremely hard working man.He will be missed! Funeral service will be 11:00AM Wednesday June 5, 2013 at New Hope Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney, Texas.
