Clyde Emmit Green

GREEN, Clyde Emmit, of Mesquite, born June 7, 1938 in Cash, TX. to Lonnie & Lillie Green, went to his glorious homecoming on March 7, 2013 after a year long battle with cancer. He met the love of his life, Barbara Jeanell Green in Greenville, TX. and was married February 14, 1958.They just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.Clyde was a member of First Baptist Church of Mesquite.He graduated from Campbell High SchoolHe worked for Commonwealth Life & Accident Co. for 36 years and also was owner of the SnoBall Express Snow Cone Stand in Mesquite for 20 years.He had a love for family, life, fishing and hunting. Preceded in death by parents, Lonnie H. Green & Lillie Jones Green; brothers, Dale Green, Austin Green, Carl Houston Green; sisters, Alta Davenport, Thelma Russell, Virginia & Little Sissy. Survived by wife of 55 years, Barbara Jeanell Green; children, Gregory Clyde Green & Twila Kay Green; Sherrie Green McAnally & Jessie Mike McAnally; grandchildren, Natasha Kay Green, Gregory Taylor Green, Christopher Keith Allgood, matthew Clyde Allgood; great grandchildren, Caroline Kay Zbiegien, Haven Brice Allgood; sister, Faye Barnes; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1PM - 2PM Saturday March 16, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Mesquite, 127 E. Kimbrough, Mesquite, TX. Memorial service will follow at 2PM with Pastor Scott Gray officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
