Doris Jane Childress

Doris Childress, born February 17, 1934, passed away on December 6, 2014 at the age of 80. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jess Childress.Also preceded in death by her parents Calvin and Zula Yarbrough and her brother Calvin Yarbrough and her sister Ann Yarbrough. She is survived by her son Dennis K. Childress and his wife Cheri; daughter, Donna J.Clark and husband John. Also survived by grandchildren; Keith Childress and wife Hilary, De-De Bruce and husband John, Jessica Winchester and husband Curtis, Michele Foster and husband Kyle, and Candace Holmes and husband Dennis.Survived by her great grandchildren; Samantha Childress, Harlee Bruce, Stoney Bruce, Kylie Foster, Madison Foster, Camden Holmes, Hunter and Jared Holmes. Survived by brothers George, Bobby, Vernon and Dayward Yarbrough and her sister Joyce Redford and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Services will be at New Hope Funeral Home at 10:00 AM December 9, 2014 and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, December 8th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
