Harold Wayne Calvert

Harold Wayne Calvert went to be with Lord on August 20, 2015. He was born November 29, 1937 in Winnsboro, Texas. He was preceded in death by parents Thomas DeWitt Calvert and Gladys (Griffis) Calvert. He was also preceded by: brother, Thomas (Buddy) Calvert Jr., and three sisters: Annette Zimmerman, Wanda Jo Hanson and Betty Yelverton. He is survived by: Kay, wife of 57 years, daughter, Karla, and son-in-law, Tom, of Rockwall, TX, and two grandsons: Brad Briggs and Austin Briggs. He is also survived by one sister: Sandy Cox of Lufkin, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. Harold proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War and worked at Texas Instruments for 29 years, retiring in 1997. Harold enjoyed traveling, watching sports and spending time with his family and friends. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 22 followed by the service at 2:00 pm. Burial services will be held at DFW National Cemetery Monday, August 24 at 2:30 pm. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, HAROLD’S WISHES ARE FOR DONATIONS TO BE MADE TO THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION, WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT OR THE SPCA.
