October 25, 1959 — April 14, 2013

Jana Lynn Wylie, 53, passed away peacefully at home in Mesquite, TX after a courageous battle with cancer. In 1959, Jana was born in Garland, TX to Ray and Jan Gordon. She grew up in Garland and graduated from South Garland High School in 1978. Jana worked at Utica Mutual Insurance Group, for over 30 years and developed many lifelong friendships. She married the love of her life, Mark Wylie, on November 6th, 1982 and shared many wonderful years together until her death. Jana cherished family, enjoyed painting, camping, and spending time with friends. A beloved daughter, aunt, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, Jana touched many lives with her wonderful, vibrant spirit and love. Jana is survived by her husband Mark Wylie; son Andrew Wylie and his fianc Brittany; daughter Vanessa Goodwin and her husband Billy; parents Ray and Jan Gordon; sister Paula Wylie and her husband Van Wylie; sister Tamara Howton; mother-in-law Mozelle Wylie; brother-in-law Joel Wylie and his wife Penny; grandson Brayden; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 500 E. Hwy 80 Sunnyvale, TX. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16 from 5-7PM. The funeral will be on Wednesday, April 17 at 12PM.
