John Louis Kassab

John Louis Kassab, 91, was born May 28, 1923, to Said and Nejme Kassab. He passed away peacefully in his Sunnyvale, Texas home on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15, 2014. John is survived by Elizabeth (Betty) D. Kassab, his beloved wife of 64 years; son, Dr. Bruce Raymond Kassab and spouse Jamie; daughter, Lori Kassab Brackett and spouse John; seven grandchildren: Gregory Robert Brackett and spouse Jill; Dr. Rebecca Elizabeth Brackett Eberlin and spouse Dr. Seth Eberlin; Brianna Alexandra Brackett Romanoff and spouse Steven; John Kassab Brackett; Kaylen Michelle Kassab; Kelsey Rose Kassab and Kristen Victoria Kassab; three great grandchildren: Hayden Acosta Brackett, Kassidy Jane Brackett and Hailey Madison Brackett; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. John proudly served in the United States Army as a combat police officer during World War II in the South Pacific theatre, and upon his discharge graduated under the GI Bill of Rights with a BS from New York University followed by an MBA from New York University. He then embarked on a long and stellar career in estate and financial planning, securities and insurance services, and pension and profit sharing design. He won numerous awards and national recognitions for his excellence in personal and managerial achievements from the various firms with which he was affiliated. He ultimately became a founding partner, Regional Director and Principal of Financial Network Investment Corporation and GBA Financial Programs & Insurance Marketing.Along with his dear and loyal wife Betty, John was a devoted and tireless worker in many local churches where he influenced thousands of people with his teaching and leadership skills, as well as his generous and giving heart. He was an active force in the formation of numerous local, regional, national and worldwide Christian organizations, which have gone on to impact millions of people for the cause of Christian values and principles. The family would like to express its gratitude to CareStaf, Heritage Home Health, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, and the many doctors, nurses and caregivers who lovingly assisted John in his final days. A public funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 10:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas. A private burial service for immediate family only will be held at the Mesquite Cemetery Condolences may be offered at www.newhopefh.com.
