Leaford Ray Davis, beloved father and grandfather was born on January 29, 1931, in Frisco, Texas. He left this life for his new life in the presence of Jesus on April 4, 2015. He was the second child of Harry Rupert Davis and Maggie Nolabell Davis.He had 2 brothers, Cecil Davis and James Davis; 1 sister, Mata Bramlett. He spent many years in Brownfield, Texas where he met and married Dorothy Hadaway.They had 3 sons, Leaford Ray Davis, Jr., Dennis Wayne Davis and James Bennett Davis. They moved to Dallas about 1954 where he worked as a carpenter.He later had is own construction business.All three sons worked for him at one time. After Dorothy passed away, he married Jane Knight. They were marred until her death.Since that time he has lived with son, James and his wife, Regina in Wills Point, Texas.In the early 1950's he served in the 49th Armored Division at Ft. Hood, Texas. Leaford is survived by son, Ray Davis & his wife, Mollye; son, James Davis & his wife, Regina; son-in-law, Harold Hankle; grandchildren, Misty & husband, Augustin, Leslie, Rebecca & husband, Shawn, Greg & wife, Shannon, Tonya & husband, Phillip, Megan, Cody, Richard, Terry; 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; many friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by wives, Dorothy Hadaway Davis and Jane Knight Davis; son, Dennis, parents, siblings, great granddaughter, Bridget; step-daughter, Paula. Leaford will be remembered as a sweet, caring, Christian man.He was a good husband, father, grandfather and friend.
