Molly Pierce Trail Molly Pierce Trail passed peacefully from this life and into the arms of her Lord and Savior on July 27, 2013. Her husband and children have been constantly by her side during the last 11 weeks after complications following surgery.Molly was born on June 10, 1943, into the loving family of W.C. (Bill) and Nan C. Pierce in Terrell, Texas.She is survived by her husband, Robert Trail, of Dallas, Texas, who she married on January 25,1964.She is also survived by her daughter, Teresa Parkey Smith, and her husband, Scott, of Garland, TX, and her son, Justin Trail, and his wife, Tamara, of Albany, TX, as well as by her three adoring grandchildren, who were the light and joy of her life:Hannah, Robyn and Charlotte Trail of Albany, TX.She is also survived by her mother, Nan C. Pierce and her sister, Billie Sue Davis, and husband, Larry as well as nieces and nephews.Molly was preceded in death by her father, sister, Nancy Ann Musser, and infant son, Jeffrey. Molly graduated from Crandall High School in 1961 where she had the honor of being valedictorian, cheerleader and a leader in many organizations.She continued her education at Henderson County Junior College.Molly was a cheerleader and received much recognition there.She graduated with a degree in education from East Texas State University where she continued to be a leader in many areas.Molly was a lifelong teacher and educator.She influenced the lives of many students, parents and coworkers. Molly was a beloved teacher and passed down her love of learning to many.Through the years, she worked for Mesquite Independent School District and Garland Independent School District.After her retirement in 2002, Molly continued to influence student teachers as a supervising teacher through Stephen F. Austin University. Molly was active in her church and served on many committees through the years as well as taught Sunday School.Molly was actively involved in many organizations; she especially loved participating in Bible studies.Molly was loved and cherished by all who knew her, and she often talked about how rich her life was because of her family and many friends.A Service of Celebration for her life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Rowlett, TX at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX.Interment will follow at Oakland Memorial Cemetery in Terrell, TX.In lieu offlowers, donations may be made to Relay for Life through First United Methodist Church in Rowlett, 4405 Main Street, Rowlett, TX 75088.
