Niki Layne Jones

Heaven has gained another sweet angel.Niki Layne McRae Jones has gone to be with the Lord. She was born February 17, 1956 and lost her fight to cancer on March 31, 2018. Niki grew up in Mesquite and has 4 beautiful children.She finally met and married the love of her life in 1992.She was full of life and the life of the party. She loved everyone unconditionally.She was heartbroken when she lost her soul mate in 2012.She kept on loving and trying to be upbeat. Last September, Niki was diagnosed with an infection on her brain and she underwent surgery.It was a long road to recovery.While she was still recovering, she had to have her gall bladder removed in December and it was then that they discovered the cancer. Chemo treatments started immediately, but she was just too weak to recover.She will be missed so much by everyone who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Patrick and Buena McRae and grand-mother Mae Burton, father Charles McRae, husband Bobby Lynn Jones, father and mother-in-law Carl and Jennie Vee Jones and brother-in-law Billy Jack Jones. She is survived by her mother, Wanda McRae Williams and husband Bobby of Mesquite, brothers Kip McRae and wife Robin of Austin, Scott McRae and Mindy of Farmers Branch, sister Jill McRae McKee and husband Jim of Mabank, daughters Carly Leverington of Kaufman, Charly Disney Schneider and husband Lee of Mesquite, Brandy Jones and partner Linda Seeton of Eustace, sons Zach Webb and wife Courtney of Kaufman, Cody Disney of Kentucky and Montana Jones and wife Brittany of Eustace. Step brothers Bobby Williams and wife Sonya of Mansfield and Dondi Williams and wife Sheri of Magnolia, mother-in-law Wanda Jones of Mesquite, sister-in-law Carlene Jones McMahen and husband Virgil of Ben Wheeler, and sister-in-law Rue Ann Jones of Mesquite. She had 12 beautiful grandchildren and was Noni to Austin, Kason, Autumn, Adrianna, Tatumn, Kyla, Max, Grayson, Josh, Cole, Sadie and Brian.She was Aunt Honey or Aunt Noni to numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She has numerous family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
