Ruby Pippin,89, began singing with the angels when she entered into eternal peace on August 22, 2016 in Carrollton, Texas. God had a plan for Ruby Kennedy and she accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age.She met and married the love of her life James Pippin Jr., a radio operator in the Army Air Corp in World War II, who later became a Minister.Ruby Pippin became the wife of a Minister, a title she wore with an honor and joy. Ruby was a very kind and gentle soul; with a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a fervent prayer warrior which people from all over would call and request prayer. Ruby loved to have fun with family and friends often planning big cook-outs and gatherings. She leaves these loving memories to be cherished by children: Rosa Calton, Julia Hogan, Weldon Pippin, and Ruby Petty: grandchildren: Bill Calton, Michael Calton, CherieEasterling,Betty Carpenter, Christopher Pippin, Alicia Pippin, Deric Petty and 16 great grandchildren, Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Rosa Lee Kennedy and brothers: JD Kennedy, Luther Kennedy and Leo Kennedy, sister: Betty Kell.She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Harrison,of Greenville; makingRuby Pippin the Matriarch of the Kennedy family.Ruby leaves behind many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Ruby always considered her siblings children to be an extension of her own, taking part in every aspect of their lives; encouraging, supportive, spiritual mentor, as a second Mom.By her life, Ruby has inspired family and friends instilling in each to strive for success and keep faith and hope alive. Services will be held Saturday , August 27th, at 2pm at Pathway Church. Michael Kennedy will be officiating the celebration. Family will receive guests at 1PM during visitation.193 FM 547 Farmersville, Texas 75442. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Wounded Warrior Project who Ruby Pippin supported for years.
