SARAH BOLTON MOODY Sarah Moody died December 14, 2014 in Dallas hospital.She was born November 27, 1927 in McLain, MS.Sarah attended Oak Park High School in Laurel, MS after completing elementary school in McLain.Having worked for the Honeywell Corporation for several years, Sarah retired after a long career as an electronics technician from the Eaton Corporation in Commack, N.Y. After retirement she moved back to the family farm in McLain and later to Terrell to live with her daughter.On August 1, 1945 Sarah married Marion Walton, the charming soldier from Virginia, and in 1956 married a childhood friend, Larry Moody.Both preceded her in death. Throughout her life, Sarah enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing, reading and embroidering. She was preceded in death by her parents, Corbet and Albennie Brown Bolton. She is survived by her daughter, Hilda Walton Braggs of Terrell.She is also survived by an aunt, Ida Mae Chambers of Memphis, TN, an uncle, Eugene Brown of Rockford, IL; special cousins, Ernestine Guice of San Bruno, CA, DeLois Stewart of Burlingame, CA, and John and Viola Bolton of McLain.Also surviving is her friend since childhood, Alberta Bush of Chicago, IL, and special friends, Dorothy Miller, Ruby Shaw, Rev. Namon and Vicki Miller of Terrell, Rev. Cozy Johnson and Alene Powe of McLain, numerous other cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at Warren Chapel United Methodist Church, at 3:00PM Sunday, December 21, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Warren Chapel United Methodist Church, 810 S. Adelaide St., Terrell, TX. 75160.
