Sherry Kellene Land

Sherry Eskridge Land, born in Dallas, Texas on May 22, 1955. she returned home December 15,2012. Survived by her husband and best friend, Steve Land of Forney, mother, Willie Eskridge of Dallas and Houston,daughter Lisa York (Cory) of Rowlett, sons Kevin Carnes and Jeremy Carnes, both of Dallas, stepchildren Tammy and Stephen Land , Jr., grandchildren Jordan York, Joshua York and Emily Land, and her sister Kay Brown (Bart). Preceded in death by her father, Robert Lewis Eskridge and brother , Robert Lewis Eskridge, Jr. Sherry retired from Southwestern Bell / AT&T after 37 years of service.She and Steve hit the road, touring the country - both in their motorhome and on their Harley.With plenty of great friends and lots of places to go, they crammed a lifetime of travels into a few short years. A member of the Eastern Star, Sherry relied heavily on her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to carry her through her battle with cancer.She fought a great fight and, surrounded by her family, slipped away to join her many loved ones in Heaven. She was well loved and there will forever be a hole in hearts until we meet again.
