Sonni Lee Blankenbaker

Sonni Lee Blankenbaker, born on March 30, 1983 in Marshall, Texas, to Randy and Laura Blankenbaker.The family moved to Dallas, Texas in 1988.She attended A.C. New Middle school where she played basketball and Volleyball.She gave birth to her daughter in 1999.In the same year, the family moved to Crandall, Texas, where Sonni attended Crandall High School.Her senior year in high school, she was on the Gold Duster Drill Team.Sonni graduated from Crandall High School in 2001.After high school she attended Trinity Valley Community College and began working in the food service industry, working at Olive Garden, Cotton Gin, and Applebee’s.During these years she formed many long-lasting friendships. Sonni loved to cook and could make a delicious meal out of just about anything.She had a flair for styling hair and doing make-up, helping many to prepare for their proms.She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, telling stories and sharing memories.She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Survived by her daughter, Cortlynn Reese Blankenbaker; Her parents: Randall A. Blankenbaker and Laura A. Blankenbaker; Her siblings:Randi Lynn Blankenbaker, Josiah Asa Blankenbaker, Regan Lane Blankenbaker, and Violet Jordan; Her nieces: Layklen Belle Sunderlin; Anneliese Nicolle Blankenbaker; Selena Marie Rodriguez and Jonnie Monroe Jordan; Her grandmothers:Katherine H. Blankenbaker and Sybil Seamans.She was preceded in death by her grandfathers:Merl A. Blankenbaker and T.J. Seamans; and her great-grandparents; George B. Haskins “Papa George” and Beatrice H.
