Coronavirus Notice

As of 3/31/20 and in response to Covid-19, we are announcing the following immediate changes to our normal business practices for the duration of the Crisis:

1. Funeral arrangements must be made by phone, rather than coming into our facility. Necessary documents that need a signature will be sent via DocuSign to your email address. We can also FaceTime you to help in selections for your loved one, including sending you images of caskets, outer burial containers, urns and other merchandise. All pricing information will be sent via email.

2. Until further notice, our building and all indoor facilities at New Hope are closed to the public as health and safety concerns of the families of loved ones and our staff are our priority. Our staff will be working and present on site during this Crisis and can be reached by phone. No one will be allowed inside our building during this Crisis except for the staff of New Hope, with no exceptions.

3. New Hope will offer graveside services only until further notice. Viewing and visitation of a loved one will coincide with the graveside service.

4. The number of people allowed for viewing and graveside services at New Hope will be limited to remain compliant with the current recommendations set forth by the Town of Sunnyvale, Dallas County and the State of Texas. Currently, the maximum number allowed is 10 people.

5. The number of people that can attend a funeral, memorial service or graveside service at an outside Church or other facility will be limited to remain compliant with the city and county where the facility is located.

6. New Hope will offer an established common area graveside setting for all services during this Crisis that will include tents, chairs and one of our Funeral Directors to supervise. After the graveside service, your loved one will be transported by New Hope to the real burial destination or to the crematory per the family’s arrangements and instructions.

7. Your designated Funeral Director will bear witness to the casket’s burial, and upon a signed release from the family, will take photographs and send to the family after burial.

8. During this Covid-19 Crisis, all of the deceased entering our facility MUST be embalmed. No exceptions.

9. If after your loved one’s graveside service or cremation you decide to have a larger funeral service or memorial service when the Covid-19 Crisis is over and number of attendees is no longer limited, please call and speak with one of our funeral directors.

Thank you for your understanding during this time. Please call and speak with us if you have further questions. 972-226-2111
