Charles Melvin Blizzard

Charles Melvin Blizzard was born to Eunice Mae and Henry Wilson Blizzard on October 12, 1932, in Vicksburg, Mississippi.He joined the U. S. Navy in 1950 and served aboard the USS Iowa for 4 years.He lived for the past 43 years in Forney, Texas, and was an active member of First United Methodist Church.Charles passed away on April 4, 2019 at age 86. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gwen; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Mickie Blizzard; grandchildren, Sydney and Sam Blizzard.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Charles’ name to the Student Building Fund at the First United Methodist Church, 414 W. Broad Street, Forney, TX 75126.”
