Codey Austin Gage

Codey Austin Gage, born July 14, 1993 in McKinney, Texas, passed away at home with his mother and sister by his side at 9:30am on March 20, 2018.He is survived by his parents Chris and Tammy Cox and James Keith Gage, sister Allison Gage, brothers Dustin and Brayden Gage, and grandparents and great grandparents. He is preceded in death by his brother Korban “Bubba” Cox, grandmother Peggy Addington, grandparents James and Patsy Gage, uncle Allen Gage, and cousin Amanda Hooten. Codey had an infectious spirit, and an immense love of music, singing, and dancing.We are certain he is leading the angels of heaven in a karaoke competition as we speak.He was most happy when hanging out with family and friends and viewing social media on one of his many electronic devices.We can picture Bubba and Codey exchanging jokes and cutting up.He had a caring heart and could be counted on to show up and help when you needed it the most.Codey’s optimistic and encouraging attitude never showed he was suffering an illness.Codey had cancer, but it did not have him.His beautiful and loving heart will forever be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
