Jo Ellen Armistead

Jo Ellen Armistead, 57, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, July 15, 2017, due to complications from a stroke three weeks earlier. Memorial Service:12:00 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 East Hwy. 80, in Sunnyvale, Texas.Visitation will be before the service at 11:00 a.m. Jo Ellen was born on February 26, 1960, in Woodville, Texas to Charles and Peggy Davis.Growing up in Richland Hills, she graduated from Richland High School in 1978. After working as a hairdresser and an office administrator, she finished her career as a Medical Assistant for Dr. Larry Moore.She married her best friend, Chet Armistead, and they just celebrated their 22nd anniversary on July 7, 2017.They made their home together in Mesquite.Jo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Ruth Davis, and sister-in-law, Stephanie Davis. Jo is survived by her husband, Chet, and their children, Kristin, Kelby and fianc Danelle, Mika and wife Rochelle, and Riggin; grandchildren Jaidan and Ayla; father Charles Davis and wife Merle; brothers Richard and wife Brenda, Ronald, Stanley and wife Beth, Roderick and wife Elena; sister Charla Caraway and husband Jason; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
