Judy Barton, 81, of Sunnyvale, TX passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Julia Camille Emerson Barton was born on November 20, 1937 in Jacksonville, TX to Archie and Aileen Emerson.She met her husband, John, while both were working at Southwestern Electric Service Company in Jacksonville.They married on February 25, 1961 and celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this past year.After moving to Mesquite in 1978, Judy worked for the Mesquite Independent School District in the Food Service department as a secretary where she made many friends over the years.After retirement Judy and John enjoyed traveling to many different countries and within the United States.They also enjoyed spending time with their church family at St. Marks United Methodist Church, and attending their grandchildren’s sports and school activities.Judy loved reading, scrapbooking, antique shopping and estate sales, and spending time with all her family. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Archie and Aileen Emerson and her sister Salley Hassell. She is survived by her husband John, her two children and spouses:Daughter Lisa Pinkston and husband Jeff, and son Andy Barton and wife Carol.She was Grandma to Cassidy Pinkston, Tyler Barton, and Harlie Barton, and known as NaNa to Makenzie Pinkston. Also, surviving her is her sister Margaret Chandler and her husband Roger, Brother-in-Law Kenneth Hassell, Sister-in-Law Janice Barton, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
