Karl Adrian Cabezuela was born on December 10, 1970 in Artesia, New Mexico and passed away on August 17, 2018.For most of his life he lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As a young adult, Karl also lived in Roswell, New Mexico, Midland and Odessa, Texas.Karl’s friendly, outgoing and kind-hearted manner, along with his “light up the room smile,” drew people to him and enabled him to develop lifetime friendships that spanned every aspect and stage of his life. Karl is survived by his Father Esiquio V. Cabezuela, his Mother Esperanza Paz (Hope) McGinnis and Step-Father Michael W. McGinnis, Daughter Krystal Wallace and husband Alexander Wallace, Son David Cabezuela, companion ex-wife Dawn Hendrickson, Sisters Marissa Cabezuela and Karla Price and husband Jasson Price, Nephews Alejandro and Lucas Price and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Karl was an avid reader and enjoyed reading daily devotionals, especially those written by the late Billy Graham.He usually read one or two books a week and was particularly fond of the works of John Grisham, James Patterson, Dean Koontz and other authors with similar styles. Karl’s mind was a virtual encyclopedia of sports facts.He devoured the newspaper sports pages, enjoyed Boxing, Football, Basketball, Golf, Baseball and Soccer.He was the “go to” guy for help with drafting a fantasy football team or filling out a “March Madness” bracket.He could give you a scouting report on practically any sports figure or team in the country. Karl enjoyed a versatile taste in music. His playlist included Rock, Metal, Country, Reggae, Rap, Folk, R & B, Gospel, Latin and Christian. He excelled in his knowledge of music and musicians almost to the same extent as his expansive knowledge of sports. Karl loved his family and they loved him.He enjoyed family gatherings, celebrations, dinners and holidays.His family and friends will forever have an emptiness in their hearts. Rest in Peace Son.
