Angela Rae Mennel, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother passed away on June 25, 2023, at the age 47. She was born on March 6, 1976, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to beloved parents Jimmie Shirkey and Sandra Hrasky. Angela's life was filled with remarkable achievements and cherished moments that have left an indelible mark on those who knew and loved her. Angela married Robert Joseph Mennel Sr. in July 1997 and they were married to each other for 25 years.

Angela dedicated 16 years of her professional career to finance and human resources, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to excellence in all aspects of her work. Her dedication and expertise earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues throughout her career.

Outside of work, Angela found immense joy in spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She treasured every opportunity to be with them outdoors under the warm sunshine, creating lasting memories. Angela also had a passion for crafting and could often be found immersed in various creative projects. One thing that brought her great pleasure was cheering on her grandkids at their sporting events, supporting them wholeheartedly as they pursued their passions.

Angela will forever be remembered for her loving and caring nature. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and infectious laughter. Her warmth embraced everyone she encountered, illuminating their lives with joy and happiness.

Angela leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Sandra and son-in-law Brandon Ragsdale of Rowlett, TX; son Robert Mennel Jr. and wife Havan of Kaufman, TX; daughter Ashley and son-in-law Anthony Aldrich of Dallas, TX; daughter Destiney Mennel and son-in-law Lane Jobe of Maybank, TX, and My Allie. Angela was blessed with many grandchildren who brought immense joy into her life: Kyleigh Ragsdale, Ryder Mennel, Paisleigh Ragsdale, Brooklynn Aldrich, Jettson Aldrich, Tucker Jobe, Rynlee Mennel, and a grandson on the way along with her mother and father Sandra and Scott Rima.

Angela also leaves behind her loving sisters, Traci Wrobiski and husband Kenny, Crystal Shirkey, Jennifer Workman and husband Chris, and Kelli Sandejo. Her brother, Dustin Rima and wife Abigail, along with an abundance of nieces and nephews and dear friends, will forever cherish the memories they shared together.

Angela was preceded in death by her father Jimmie Shirkey, father and mother -in-law LeRoy and Jo Anne Mennel and dear nephew Trey Arnold.

To honor Angela's life and pay tribute to the remarkable person she was, visitation services will be held on July 6, 2023. The visitation will take place at New Hope Funeral Home - Chapel located at 500 US-80 in Sunnyvale, Texas. The event will commence at 6:00 PM and conclude at 8:00 PM.

A funeral service to celebrate Angela's life will follow on July 7th at the same location. The service will begin at 2:00 PM and end at 3:00 PM. Following the funeral service, Angela will be laid to rest in the tranquil grounds of New Hope Memorial Gardens located at 500 US-80 in Sunnyvale, Texas. The burial ceremony will begin at 3:30 PM on July 7th.

During this time of mourning and remembrance, let us come together as a community to offer our support to Angela's family and friends who are grieving their loss. May we find solace in sharing stories of her life that demonstrate how she brought love and light into our world.
