Arlene Davis Stewart, born in Wolfe City, Texas, on June 8, 1925, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, and follower of Christ, Arlene lived a life full of grace, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
She married the love of her life. Dowe Stewart, in 1947, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and deep spiritual devotion. Arlene dedicated 34 years of her life to teaching Special Education in the Dallas Independent School District, touching countless lives with her compassion and commitment to every child's potential.
Beyond the classroom, Arlene found joy in the simple and sacred rhythms of life-playing bridge with friends,attending church functions, gathering with family. and traveling during the summer months. She specially cherished family reunions, where her presence was a source of joy and inspiration.
Arlene's greatest passion was sharing the love of Christ. She lived her faith boldly and tenderly, often gifting others with a book she had written on forgiveness - an embodiment of her belief in healing and grace. Her favorite saying, "I'm so glad you got to see me," captured her warmth and the joy she found in every encounter.
She is survived by her loving children: David Stewart and his wife Veena, Dwayne Stewart and Donna Stewart. She also leaves behind her cherished granddaughter Liz Mello and her husband Kevin, and her great-granddaughter Kate along with numerous, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Arlene's legacy is one of love, faith, and service. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
