Benjamin Reed

Benjamin "Ben" Calvin Reed (59) of Mesquite, Texas passed away on August 26, 2025.

Ben was the son of Peggy and Boyce Reed and was born on September 10, 1965 in Fort Worth, Texas. He met the love of his life, his wife Jennifer Reed, in October 2012 in Forney, TX and it was love at first motorcycle ride.

A true Texan at heart, Ben embraced life with a free spirit. He found joy in riding motorcycles and cherished the brotherhood he shared with his fellow riders in The Regulators. Every year he looked forward to his annual horseback hunting trips in Utah with family. His hobbies also included fishing and golf, which he loved very much. Professionally, Ben was a gifted project manager and a master plumber, respected for both his skill and his integrity. His family and friends were the highlight of his life. He made friends everywhere he went, and if he wasn't your friend it was just because you hadn't met him yet. He asked for nothing, and gave everything in return; he had a huge heart.

He was a loving husband, brother, son, uncle, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his children, Tyler and Bailee; step-children, Brittany (Micheal) and Nick; his mother, Peggy; two sisters, Vicki and Lisa; nieces and nephews, Russell (Joy), Matthew (Courtney), Jennifer, Michael; and many cousins and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Boyce Reed; and his step-father, Alvie Polk; and many, many dear friends.

The funeral service for Ben will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at New Hope Funeral Home located at 500 US Highway 80 E. in Sunnyvale, TX with a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
