Betty Jean Zelios

August 9, 1930 — October 14, 2022

Betty Jean Wimbley Zelios was born to A.D. & Bernice Wimbley in Big Spring, Texas on August 9, 1930.  At the age of 92, she passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ in Fort Worth, Texas on October 14, 2022 at Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living. After Big Spring, Betty’s early life was spent in Vernon, Texas where she met the love of her life, George K. Zelios. On June 26, 1949 Betty and George were married in Vernon. Subsequently they moved to Dallas where they spent their married years and Betty spent her time as a homemaker for their growing family. George preceded Betty in death on September 4, 2015.  Betty is survived by her children: Zoe Ann Homeyer (William Homeyer), Jill Brooks (Brent Brooks), and Dan Zelios (Leda English Zelios). Grandchildren are Alycia Homeyer Oterdoom, Michael Homeyer, Stacie Homeyer Stine, Abigail Brooks Kitchin, Jordan Zelios Bounds, and Zachary Zelios. Greatgrandchildren are Eli Kitchin, Josiah Kitchin, Naomi Kitchin, Blake Bounds, Levi Bounds, and Evan Bounds. Interment will be at Sparkman/Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas on Friday, October 28, 2022.
