She was one of five siblings; Michael, Russ, Jack, and Janet Kovacs. She was baptized on May 8, 1938, and confirmed at St Michael's Russian Orthodox Church, in Cleveland, Ohio. Beverly met her husband, Richard Simpson of Warren, Ohio while he was in the Air Force during the Korean War. Richard saw a picture of Beverly in a letter from his bunk mate’s girlfriend and they became pen pals and fell in love through letters. They married on August 8, 1958, and built their first home together in Twinsburg, Ohio, and had three children; Brenda, Mark, and Michelle. Beverly helped her husband start their own engineering business and years later moved to Dallas, Texas in 1978. After the passing of her husband to cancer in 2008, Beverly lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Roy Barrera, and their four children; Jess, Marcello, Dominic, and Brianna in Keller, Texas. Beverly truly had a servant’s heart and found great joy in doing for others and making them happy. She was loved and adored by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her beautiful spirit, smile, and sense of humor endeared her to everyone she came in contact with, which is a great testament to her nature. She loved to laugh, dance, cook, paint ceramics, crochet, and sew. Beverly loved her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was received into membership at Messiah Lutheran Church, Keller, TX, on May 3, 2015, through adult confirmation. Beverly joins her husband, parents, siblings and several dear friends at our Lords side in heaven. She leaves behind her daughter Brenda and son-in-law Steve Watkins in Columbus, Ohio, son Mark in Carrollton, Texas, and daughter Michelle and son-in-law Roy Barrera; along with eight grandchildren: Sherri Watkins, Erik Watkins, Ashley Andrews, Jess and Ashley Kistler, Marcello Barrera, Dominic Barrera, Brianna Barrera, and four great-grandchildren: Katelyn Harvey, Andrew Harvey, Calvin Harvey, Lucah Gray, Claire Kistler, and one great great-grandchild: Jackson Balch. Beverly will be laid to rest beside her husband at New Hope Cemetery in Sunnyvale, Texas.
