Bobbie Jean McClatchey was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 26, 1932 to parents Nels and Georgina Jenson. She married Ray McClatchey on September 17, 1960 and lived in Lincoln, Nebraska with her husband and children. She and her family would later move to Mesquite, Texas.
Bobbie Jean worked as a bank teller, office manager, and bookkeeper. She retired from Burlington Northern Railroad and started home started a home daycare. She worked with underprivileged children in many ways for most of her adult life, volunteering and advocating for them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nels and Georgina Jenson; husband, Ray McClatchey; brother, Glenn Jenson; and sister, Phyliss Jensen Anderson.
Bobbie Jean is survived by children Laurie George (Subi), Bill McClatchey (Meri), and Cori Peterson-Skudler (Dustin); grandchildren Tasha Orlando (Tony), Nick George (Chau), and RJ Skudler; great-grandchildren, Troy and Ralph George, Angelina and Juliana Orlando; nieces and nephews, Aleta, Georgina, Valerie, Serena, Lurene, Matthew, Mary, JJ, and Renata Anderson, Randy, Tim, David, and Ron Jensen.
Bobbie Jean was a member of Sheridan Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Nebraska and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mesquite, Texas. She lived at Waterford Senior Living since October of 2021.
She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
