Bobby Dwain "Bob" Womack passed calmly and peacefully from this life at his home on February 11, 2023. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and friends throughout this last chapter of his life. Bob was born on August 25, 1932, in Gordonville, Texas and grew up in and around the Sandy community of Bonham. After serving in the Army in the 11th Armed Cavalry Regiment, Bob moved to Dallas to work at the Dallas Ford Plant. On August 30, 1956, Bob married Nora Louise "Lisa" Day. Bob worked for Texas Bitulithic (APAC) from the early 1970's until his retirement. Bob and Lisa lived and raised their three children in Pleasant Grove before they moved to the Post Oak Bend Community near Kaufman, Texas in 1991 where they lived the remainder of their lives.
