In Loving Memory of Brenda DyAnn Williams
Brenda DyAnn Williams, born January 22, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, to James and Juanita Williams, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at the age of 59.
Brenda lived life with vibrant energy and a heart full of passion. She deeply valued education, music, faith, and friendship-core parts of who she was and how she connected with the world around her.
For over 20 years, Brenda served her community through her dedicated work at the Dallas County Sheriff's Office. Her time there was filled with stories-some humorous, some heartfelt-woven with memories of friendships old and new. Her impact extended far beyond the walls of her workplace.
To know Brenda was to know her beloved pets. Her dogs, BJ and Rowdy, and her cat, Ginger Elle, were constant companions who brought her joy and comfort. It's easy to imagine them-along with her parents and her best friend-welcoming her home with love.
Brenda found joy in the simple and the spectacular. She was a lifelong fan of Six Flags Over Texas, delighting in rollercoasters and the shared laughter of family and friends. A true lover of musicals, she treasured the magic of live performances and the emotions they stirred. Some of her fondest memories included sharing these experiences with her nieces and nephews, whose company she cherished deeply.
Family was the heartbeat of Brenda's life. She held close her best friends Kim and Cherry, and her beloved nieces: Tandi Smith, Kalli Walch, Casey and Lindsey Keal. Her home away from home family including Bonnie Williams, Jimmy and Phylis Vermillion, Lonna Schuurman, Jim Brady and Cody Ray. Brenda never missed an opportunity to gather with loved ones -whether for a special occasion or just to enjoy one another's company. Her contributions to these moments were always memorable: her famous baked beans, corn casserole, and the ever-anticipated Pink Fluff.
She beamed with pride and joy the day her great-nephew Caleb was born-a photo from that day still brings smiles to those who knew her best. It was the same smile she gave when she saw her great nieces Keely and Gypsy.
"Aunt Brenda" will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her kindness, her spontaneous car sing-alongs to 80's hits, her "coupon books," favorite dip recipes, and her love for long movie nights with pizza. She'll be fondly thought of every time someone watches Ghostbusters, Oklahoma!, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, or Phantom of the Opera. Her spirit will live on in trips to Six Flags, Fright Fest, and Holiday in the Park-especially for those who shared those adventures with her and Kim.
A visitation will be held in her honor on August 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM, both at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyvale, Texas. Brenda will be laid to rest at New Hope Memorial Gardens.
Brenda DyAnn Williams touched many lives with her warmth, humor, and unwavering love. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.
