Listen to Obituary

Carol June Newman was born on November 7, 1935. in Oklahoma - and from her very first
days, the world was a little warmer for it.

On June 15, 1953, Carol began one of the great chapters of her life when she married Arley C. Newman, building a family rooted in love, laughter, and an unshakeable faith.

Carol dedicated 30 years of her working life to the Mesquite School Food Service, showing up every day to make sure children were fed and cared for. It was a role that suited her perfectly - because feeding people was never just a job for Carol, it was her calling. That same heart carried her to the Yellow House, a local food pantry where she continued serving her neighbors long after her working years, ensuring that no one in her community went without.

A devoted member of the Mesquite Church of Christ, Carol's faith was the quiet force behind everything she did - her generosity, her warmth, and her boundless care for others.

Carol passed from this life on May 13, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy written in every life she touched. She is survived by her daughter Jeana Carol Henry and son-in-law Gaylon Henry; her daughter Tina June Celis and son-in-law Anthony Celis; her grandchildren Nathan Henry and his wife Melissa Henry, Amy Bryant and her husband Johnny Bryant, and Carlos Celis and his wife Jackie, her great-grandchildren Dakota and Michael Henry ,John, Justin, and Jarred Bryant and his wife Lexi, Roxanne, Duane, Tammi and Donelle and her great-great-grandchildren Jace Arley, Jacklynn, and Adaline.

She loved faithfully, served generously, and lived with grace for ninety beautiful years.

Well done, good and faithful servant.
