Carolyn Sue Ashmore

August 14, 1942 — August 15, 2021

Carolyn Sue Ashmore, 79, passed away on August 15, 2021, the day after her birthday, after a long battle with cancer. Born on August 14, 1942 near Charleston, MO, she married Carl Dwayne Ashmore on March 11, 1960. She had been a resident of Mesquite since 1970.

Sue is survived by her husband of 61 ½ years, Carl Dwayne, two sons, Stephen Dwayne and Carl David Ashmore, daughter-in-law Lou Ann, one grandson, David Andrew and one granddaughter Crystal Dawn. She was preceded in death by stillborn son Michael Lee, twin to Stephen, her mother Geneva, and father Auby Griffith. She fought valiantly, never complaining, but the cancer finally won. She was loved deeply and will be sorely missed.
