Carroll Glenn Lewis, born on December 17, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully from natural causes on August 19, 2025. Glenn was a lifelong resident of Mesquite, Texas until being placed in an Assisted Living Apartment in Dallas following a long stay in a physical rehab facility in Mesquite. A proud graduate of Mesquite High School, class of 1969, Glenn spent his career as a general laborer and as an Electricians Helper working diligently at Western Electric, Halliburton and the Mesquite Independent School District. Glenn was also a Care Giver for many years to his late sister, Izoria, and her husband Oscar Brasher. He will be remembered not only for his work ethic but for his warm spirit, caring nature and infectious enthusiasm for life.
Glenn had a passion for classic American automobiles and dedicated much of his free time to collecting replicas that reflected his love for these timeless vehicles. He enjoyed flipping through car magazines, savoring each page filled with nostalgic designs. In addition to his automotive interests, Glenn cherished watching old TV shows and old movies, immersing himself in memories of a bygone era. He also found excitement in the occasional trip to a casino, he never won any money, but he very much enjoyed going . Above all, Glenn loved spending time with his family.
Glenn is survived by sisters, Patricia Brasher and Carolyn (Sue) Lutz; brother, Thomas R. Lewis; brother-in-law, Craig Lutz; sister-in-law, Barbara Lewis; his step-son, Ryan Carman; his son, Gregg Lewis-Qualls. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom remember Uncle Glenn with affection. Any gatherings he was part of were always filled with laughter, stories, and a profound sense of connection that reflected the values he held dear.
Glenn's warmth and zest for life will be missed by all who knew him. His family will carry his spirit forward, celebrating the countless joyful moments they shared.
Carroll was preceded in death by parents, Elsie E. and John R. Lewis; brother, John W. Lewis; sisters, Izoria Brasher and Norma Sumpter; brothers-in-law, Oscar L Brasher, Ronald D. Brasher; and step-son, John Pawlowski.
