Charles Armstrong was born on October 4th, 1947 in Crosbyton, Texas. He passed away on March 22, 2024 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 76. He was a resident of Mesquite, Texas since 1995 and prior to that, a resident of Dallas, Texas since 1971. He worked for Action TV and Appliance Rental for 25 years as a Service Repairman. He then worked as a Maintenance Repairman at Juliette Fowler Communities from 2007 until he retired in 2016.

Charles was well known as a handyman, always ready to help fix just about anything for his neighbors, friends, and family. He was notorious for making handmade slingshots, shooting it like a professional, and teaching others how to shoot one for harmless fun. He took tremendous pride in serving for the United States Army and being a Vietnam Veteran. He loved dogs, going for walks, listening to classic rock music, and watching action or western movies.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman Armstrong & Margaret Porter; sister Nina Armstrong; brothers Roy, Clifford, Homer, Joe Russell, Troy and Billy Armstrong; brothers-in-law Jimmy Cunningham and William Stanford; niece Karen Stanford; and nephew Larry Sullivan.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martine Armstrong; daughter Brigitte Armstrong; granddaughter Danielle Sherrill; grandson Blaise Sherrill; brothers Jerry and Robert Armstrong; sisters Pauline Cunningham and Era Mae Stanford; brothers-in-law Tuong Hoang and Gerard Ferry; sisters-in-law Christiane Hoang and Janice Armstrong; and a total of 29 nephews and nieces and their spouses throughout the United States and France.

We all loved him and will miss his humor, loyalty, and love for the simple things in life.
