Cherlyn Denise Lewis

Cherlyn Denise Lewis was born to Douglas and Mildred L.Davis on April 6, 1956
in Jackson, Mississippi at the St.Dominic Hospital.
She completed her public school education in Jackson, Mississippi.
She received her Associate’s Degree at Hinds County Community College.
Cherlyn attended church and sang in the choir at an early age at Mt. Calvary
Baptist Church in Jackson.Cherlyn rededicated her life to Christ in her late
twenties and attended Dewey Street Church in God in Christ, in Jackson,
Mississippi.
Cherlyn met and married Eddie Johnson and to this union one daughter,Kesha
Renee Johnson and one son, Ricky Jerome Johnson were born.Eddie Johnson
preceded her in death.
Later in life,Cherlyn met and married Calvin Lewis and to this union one
daughter, Tiffany Denise Lewis and two sons; Jerami Ramon Lewis and Brandon
Quashon Lewis were born. Calvin Lewis preceded her in death.
After, moving to Dallas, Texas, she became a active member at Faith Kingdom
COGIC. She worked for FDIC and the Office of Inspector General of the United
States Postal Service, as a Investigator Analyst for 25 years. She retired from
OIG on February 28, 2020. She joined and served at Oakcliff Bible Fellowship
Church in Dallas, Texas as she shared her gift as an encourager, with the
“comfort and care” ministry and faithful participant of the women’s small group in
Mesquite,Texas until her health failed.
Her memories will be dearly cherished by her children, Kesha R. Johnson,
Ricky J. Johnson,Tiffany D. Lewis, Jerami R. Lewis and Brandon Q. Lewis.
Grandchildren; Jenaycia Renee Johnson, Ricky Johnson Jr.,Jordan Johnson,
Richard Peyton Johnson, Isaac Langston, Eli Langston and Hannah Lewis.
Brothers:Denoral Davis, Ricky Davis(Vivian), sister, Jackline Lester(William)
and a host of nieces,nephews and friends.
