Chinnamma John

Chinnamma John, 86, was born on April 23, 1940, in Vettiyar, Kerala, India, and went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2026, in Sunnyvale, Texas. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch whose life was centered around her faith, family, and the people she loved.

Chinnamma married John Mathew of Edakkattu House, Chettikulangara, Mavelikara, on August 6, 1962. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Bihar, where Chinnamma worked as a clerk at Fertilizer Corporation of India Ltd., Sindri, Dhanbad. Together, they were blessed with three children: Jolly, Jacob, and Joseph.

In 1988, Chinnamma and her family moved to Dallas, Texas, to join her brother, Pastor P.G. Daniel, and his family. In the United States, she cared for her family while also working for several years. Following her husband's passing on August 17, 2013, she enjoyed her retirement years surrounded by all her children and family.

Chinnamma was a woman of deep faith who trusted in the Lord throughout her life. Prayer was an important part of her daily life, and her family could always count on her in prayers. Her faith was a source of strength and encouragement to the generations that followed her.

She was also truly a ray of sunshine. Chinnamma had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to joke and laugh, and had a gift for making people feel happy and welcome. She especially loved celebrations, and at weddings, it was not unusual to find Chinnamma out on the dance floor, smiling, laughing, and enjoying every moment with family and friends.

She was a devoted mother to Jolly William, Jacob John, and Joseph John, and warmly welcomed her son-in-law, William George, and daughters-in-law, Baby John and Suni Joseph, into her family.

She was a loving grandmother to Bobby & Angel Williams, Babloo John & Joan Williams, Minitha & Nasir Pooran, Sharon Joseph, Magnus Jacob, Edwin & Monica Williams, and Justin Joseph. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Azaria, Isaiah, and Amelia, who brought her great joy.

Chinnamma was the second youngest of six brothers and three sisters and the last surviving child of the Palolil family. With her passing, a generation comes to an end, but the legacy she carried forward will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces & generations to come.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, laughter, family, and joy. Her prayers, humor, warmth, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed and forever treasured by all who knew and loved her. She left a hope of meeting together again on the Return of Lord Jesus Christ.
