Christie Butler, born on July 21, 1972, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on July 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with love and cherished memories. She is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Butler Jr.; her daughter, Natalie Gatlin, and son-in-law, Tyler Gatlin; her son, Andrew Butler; her mother, Debi Sankey; her father, Jeff Sankey; and numerous relatives and friends who will forever remember her warm spirit and nurturing nature. Christie was also a proud grandmother to Haven and River Gatlin, with whom she spent countless joyful hours gardening, dancing, listening to music and blowing bubbles. She also had a passion for cooking and baking, delighting her family with delicious meals and sweet treats. Many cherished memories were made in her kitchen, where laughter and love were always present. Christie's ability to connect with others made her a beloved member of her community.
Christie was a dedicated professional in the construction industry, known for her strong work ethic and passion. She approached her career with the same commitment and heart she brought to every part of her life. Raised by her loving parents, Debi and Jeff Sankey, Christie was instilled with the values of compassion, kindness, and hard work. Her caring nature and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and her warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will take place on August 4, 2025, with visitation at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on August 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at New Hope Memorial Gardens at 11:30 AM, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory.
Christie's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever brighten the lives of her family and all who knew her.
Christie was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Dean Cox.
