Clara Nell Ross

Clara Nell Ross, 79, of Forney gained her angel wings on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.  Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale with Pastor David Griffin officiating.  Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper.  Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, November 7, 2022.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons Cody Wingfield, Sean Courson, Tyler Lambright, Peyton Wingfield, Klayton Wingfield and Steven Wingfield.

Clara was born on Sept 12, 1943 in Cooper, Texas.  She was raised and educated in Cooper Texas.  She married her first love, Charles Wingfield on May 11, 1962, and together they raised 3 beautiful children.  They later divorced but continued to co parent the minor child, Michelle.

Clara later married William Ross Sr, on June 30, 1995 and her family grew.

Clara enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, they were the light of her life.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Jack and Frances Owen, the father of her children, Charles Wingfield, the man who brought love back into her life, William Ross Sr., bonus son Robert Clay Ross and  grandson Kevin Wingfield Jr.

Clara is survived by her daughter Michelle Whitsell and husband Lenny of Forney, son Kevin Wingfield of Rowlett, daughter Gail Warnick and husband Paul of Lancster, CA, sister Brenda Watkins and husband Van of Cooper.  Grandchildren Leslie, Sean, Joshua, Cody, Tyler, Klayton, Peyton, Payge, Tiara, Brianna, Robert and Heather, nephew Harold Watkins and wife Traci, niece Sherri and husband Jody Williams, as well as numerous great grandchildren, aunts , uncles and cousins.
