Listen to Obituary

"C.A." Clarence Adam Parker was born at home in Cottle County, West Texas on August 22nd 1939. He was the 4th and youngest son born to Ila Idele Parker and Roy C. Parker. Throughout his life he had a very close bond and deep love for his brothers, sister and parents.

C.A. started elementary school in Milsap then after moving to Dallas continued his education in the town of Rylie. C.A.'s sophomore year he was contacted and asked to come play football for Childress High School in West Texas and this is where his fondest school memories and many dear friends were made before graduating in 1958.

Later in 1958 he met the love of his life Judy Fae Darr. What started over "going to get a coke", their long distance relationship (C.A. in Big Spring and Judy in Dallas) soon led to an engagement and then spontaneous elopement to Mexico on December 29, 1960. Their love story continued for over 65 years of marriage. They welcomed daughters Lisa in 1962 and Jana in 1965. Later they had the joy of loving and sharing in the lives of their two granddaughters Ashtyn and Gracyn and most recently their great grandson Davis.

C.A.'s strong work ethic was formed at a very young age where at 5 years old he would help pick cotton along side his mother and helped on the ranch with his father. As an adult he worked as an inspector for Bell Helicopter before becoming an independent rep for Borden Milk Company. C.A. spent his last 25 working years as a valued salesman at Utility Industrial Supply and was respected throughout the industry. He enjoyed working with his hands and was skilled at building or fixing just about anything.

C.A. was always an athlete and competitor. Over his lifetime he was involved in multiple sports including football, baseball, golf, was a golden gloves boxer, raced sports cars, played commercial fast-pitch and church softball, was a fisherman, a hiker, became a snow skier and runner in his 40's and 50's. He started his final and favorite hobby bicycling in his 60's and continued into his 70's. Over the past 15 years he enjoyed watching Sunnyvale High School sports teams and continued to watch some players as they moved on to college careers. He became known to many as Sunnyvale's #1 fan.

C.A. loved people, sharing stories and took a genuine interest in other's lives. He loved to joke and laugh with those around him. He and Judy created many memories with family and dear friends on countless RV camping trips, ski trips, vacations and get togethers throughout the years. He loved keeping in touch with people and treasured relationships with his family and friends. He took care of his neighbors or anyone who was in need. Nothing was ever "borrowed" from C.A. because he gave it to them with no expectation of return.

Most importantly C. A. was a faithful Christian and his life was a true reflection of Christ's love by the example he set and the love he shared. He passed peacefully in the arms of Judy surrounded by his daughters, Lisa and Jana and son in law, Greg.

C.A. Is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Lisa Paul and son in law Greg Paul, daughter Jana Davis, son in law Elliott Davis, grandchildren Ashtyn Davis Landen, Gracyn and Dillon Paschall, great grandson Davis Paschall, brother Bobby Parker, sister in law, Jeanette Parker, numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy Parker and Ila Hutchison, step father Elmer Hutchison, brothers Will Parker, Don Parker, sister Barbara Hanson, sister in laws Margaret Parker, Mary Parker, and Elsie Parker.
