Cynthia Ann Burt, born on January 11, 1948, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, at the age of 78 from natural causes. She is survived by her devoted husband, Buford "Jim" Burt, their son Bradley Burt and daughter-in-law Cyndi Burt, their daughter Amy Wallace and son-in-law Bill Wallace, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Hannah Peterson, Donny Peterson, Macie Burt, Rachel Wallace, and Hunter Wallace. Cynthia is also survived by her brothers-in-law Jerry Burt and Terry Burt, along with a loving family of nieces and nephews, including Janie Gonzales..

Cynthia dedicated 29 years of her career tmao Sears, where she served as a Loss Prevention Associate. A woman of profound faith, she accepted Jesus as her Savior and Lord at the tender age of 12, and this commitment shaped her life in numerous ways. She found immense joy in singing, particularly within her church choir, and she cherished the special moments spent working with children and assisting with baptisms. Cynthia's enduring hope was that all who crossed her path would see Jesus reflected in her life and would come to know Him personally.

Her family reflects on her legacy with gratitude, recalling her unwavering spirit and love for Christian music, which filled her heart and home with joy. Cynthia believed that her life was not a farewell but rather a joyful "see you later" in the sky, reinforcing her faith in eternal life.

Cynthia was preceded in death by: Jack Gray, Sandra Gray, Dorthy Reeves, Monroe Lewis, and step-father, Felix Reeves.

Funeral services will be held on January 21, 2026, at Inspiration Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM. Cynthia will be laid to rest at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.

As her family gathers to celebrate a life lived in devotion and love, they invite all who knew Cynthia to join them in honoring her remarkable journey.\
