Dan Alan Taylor

Alan Taylor, age 64, passed on February 16th, 2023 in Arlington TX. He was born November 18th, 1958 in Dallas to Dan and Jo Taylor, both of whom preceded him in death. Alan was wed to Sheila Taylor on September 6th, 2007.

Alan was raised in what once was the small town of Forney, TX. He attended Forney schools, where he excelled in the classroom and played the mad scientist.

Throughout his high school years, he participated in sports, several clubs, was a member of the National Honor Society, and graduated Salutatorian of his class. He went on to attend the University of Texas at Arlington where he was awarded a bachelor in information technology.

Alan was an avid collector from a young age including coins, stamps, rocks, music and more. He loved nature and working in his yard, taking pride in his gardens.

In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing with his family and going on the yearly vacations.

Alan is survived by his loving wife Sheila of Arlington, brother Scot Taylor of Forney, stepdaughter Krystal and her husband Jason Delforge, grandsons Aiden and Caleb, all of Denton, OH, and many cousins.

The visitation will be at 1pm on March 4th following by a memorial at New Hope funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillcreast cemetery in Forney.
