Daniel Joseph Fricke was born on August 4, 1947, in Dallas, Texas to Fred and Lillie Mae Fricke. He went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2021, suffering a sudden death while on a camping trip.
Dan graduated from Sunset High School in 1965, served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, and attended East Texas State University. He married his wife Linda in 1966 and they would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary July 31. Dan was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Mesquite for 40 years, served as a Deacon and Elder, and was a member of the Safety Team. He worked in lighting sales, and then worked for D.R. Horton Homebuilders for many years before his retirement.
Above all else Dan was a devoted family man. He was so proud of his daughters and their husbands and his three grandchildren, and his favorite times were those spent with family. He also loved to fish and camp, and was always planning his next camping trip.
He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Lori Schwartz and husband Eric, daughter Dana Stephenson and husband Scott, and grandchildren Hunter White, McKenna White, and Luke Boling. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Lisa Michelle Fricke, brother Fred Fricke, and sister Hazel Gates.
