Daniel Mathew

June 16, 1945 — December 23, 2022

Daniel Mathew was born to late Mr. M. Daniel and Mrs. Mariamma Daniel on June 16, 1945 at Kottakkattu-aiyathu House, Vadakkadathukavu, Adoor, Kerala. He accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior in an early age; and subsequently took water baptism. Following his High School graduation, he moved to New Delhi in late 1960s and got an employment in the Government of India Printing press. He got married to Elsy Varghese in April 21, 1975. He lived in New Delhi until October 1975 and migrated to Fort Worth, Texas.

He worked in Tandy Corporation, Mostek, and finally in Abbott Laboratories in Irving Texas till his retirement. He got settled in Mesquite, Texas with his wife.

Daniel Mathew was well knowledgeable in the Scriptures. He was an avid reader of Christian books and publications. He could read and speak Malayalam, English, Hindi and Tamil.

He was a man of admirable Christian character. He had a pleasant and quite personality with a radiant smile. He was always kind to people around him. He was an active member of Dallas Christian Assembly in Garland, and was an inspiration to all church members. He was dearly loved by the Pastor and all church members. As a man of prayer, he never start or end his days without spending much time in Scripture meditation and prayer, especially with his wife, Elsy.

He was a passionate supporter of the Lord's work, especially to World Missions. Also, he has blessed many pastors and ministers of the Gospel throughout the world.

His health has declined and was resting at home. On December 23, 2022, he was called to His Eternal Home.

Daniel Mathew is survived by his brother, Baby; and sisters, Kunjamma and Pennamma. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elsy Mathew of 48 years.

Surely he could say with the Apostle Paul, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." (2 Tim. 4:7-8)
