David Mical "Red" Lewis,

LEWIS, SR., David Mical of Balch Springs, known as "Red" to his famiy and friends, after a long battle with cancer, went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2007. He is preceded in death by his parents, W. G. & Sallie Lewis of Balch Springs.Survived by wife of 21 years, Carolyn Lewis; son, David M. Lewis, Jr.; daughter, Tammy Velasquez & her husband and 2 sons; step-sons, Billy Sanders & Newton Anderson; step-daughter, Charlotte Smith & her three kids; 4 brothers;, Ed, Curtis Ray, Charlie & Paul Lewis; 4 sisters, Dorothy Metcalf, Barbara Herron, Ruth Terrell & Linda Turner; numerous relatives and close friends. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War 1967-1968. Service will be 2:00PM Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the New Hope Funeral Home
