Deanna Otero

It is with profound sadness that the family of DeAnna Otero announces her sudden passing on February 26, 2023 at the age of 51 years old.

DeAnna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Gabriel; children Racquel, Jaclynn and Adam; grandchildren Adalynn, Adam Jr., Gabriella & Leia; stepfather Andres Rodriguez; sisters Jeanette Carrillo and Lourdes Horvath; mother-in-law Ramona Otero; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Roldan Gonzales and Velinda Rodriguez.

DeAnna was born in Winslow, Arizona on June 4, 1971. She graduated from Belen High School in 1989 and went on to earn her Bachelors of Education degree from the University of New Mexico. She later went to complete her masters degree from Texas A&M Commerce. She was a passionate classroom teacher at Mary Moss Elementary for 23 years after her time teaching in Los Lunas, New Mexico for the 3 previous years.

DeAnna poured her heart and soul into being the best wife to her husband, mom to her 3 children and lovey to her grandkids. Those blessed to come across DeAnna knew she had a smile that could light up any room, was welcoming to all and had impactful relationships with those who meant the most to her. She always showed up when it mattered most, would give the last of what she had to anyone in need and had a way to comfort those around her.

The memorial service for DeAnna Otero will be held on Saturday March 11th, at 10:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home - Chapel.

Visitation: Saturday March 11th, at 9:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home - Chapel.

A Catholic funeral mass and rosary will be held on Friday March 17th, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Peralta, New Mexico.
