In Loving Memory

Debra Ann Rimmer (Debbye) Hunt, 70, of Forney, TX met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face on Sunday, July 14th, 2024. She was born in Dallas, TX on September 26th, 1953 to David Millard Rimmer and Charles LaVerne Brewer Rimmer.

Debbye is survived by her husband of 47 years, Lorne P. (Rick) Hunt, son Zachary D. Hunt and wife, Rebecca L. Hunt, 5 beloved grandchildren Audrey, Katherine, Caroline, Emily, and Wyatt who cherished their "Grammy", brothers David M. Rimmer, Jr., and wife, Mary, Dannie C. Rimmer and wife, Sandra, Douglas E. Rimmer, Sr., and wife, Madge, Dennis B. Rimmer and wife, Dawn, Dale P. Rimmer and wife, Karen; 10 nephews and 1 niece. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Lee Byrd Hunt, and parents David M. Rimmer, Sr., and LaVerne Rimmer.

Debbye leaves an eternal legacy of faith, hope, and love. She will always be remembered for her joyful and devoted love of Jesus, His Church, family, and many children she dedicated her life to care for and disciple. She was a member of Lakepointe Church in Rockwall, TX where she served on the host team. Debbye had many dear friends she enjoyed spending time with and never met a stranger. Her life was one of service to others and she would engage with anyone while genuinely caring for and ministering to them with the love of Christ. Debbye also enjoyed traveling and the outdoors with her family and best friend/husband. She loved Florida beach vacations the most. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, joy, and positive outlook in all circumstances.

The family would like to thank all who provided loving and dedicated care for Debbye at T. Boone Pickens Cancer Hospital. They were a true blessing to her and our family. We will always be grateful for her niece, Jane Rimmer, who also devoted many days and nights as companion and caretaker. The following scripture passage holds very special meaning to Debbye and her family.

'"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."' - Numbers 6:24-26

Debbye's Celebration of Life service for family and friends will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, at Chisholm Baptist Church located at 1388 South State Hwy 205, Rockwall, TX 75032. A reception will follow.
