Donna Kay McClure passed away on August 1, 2025, in Royse City, Texas. She loved her family, Jesus, her friends, and being a Nonni.
Donna was born on September 25, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, to Robert and Barbara Eby. She grew up alongside her siblings, Ronald Eby and Cathy Speed, and graduated from South Garland High School.
Donna married the love of her life, Joey McClure, on August 6, 1983. Together they raised two daughters, Valerie and Victoria. Later, Donna welcomed her granddaughter, Olivia, whom she lovingly referred to as Nonni's Sunshine. Donna had many hobbies and passions including music, crafting, and coffee. But her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and serving others.
She was deeply rooted in her faith and loved the Lord with all her heart. Donna faithfully served at church over the years in many areas, including the worship team, directing the church choir, and starting and leading the coffee bar ministry. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and seen, and her life reflected her servant's heart.
Donna was strong and full of faith. She loved taking care of people, making them laugh, and pouring her heart into everything she did. She will be remembered for her generosity, the way she served others, and her commitment to doing everything with excellence.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Valerie McClure; Victoria Stixrud and husband, Kevin; her granddaughter, Olivia Stixrud; her brother, Ronald Eby and wife Cindy; her sister, Cathy Speed and husband Keith; as well as many other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joey McClure, and her parents, Robert and Barbara Eby.
Donna made an impact on everyone she met. She will be missed, but she has left us all with a great example to follow.
