Dorothy Giatrakis was her name, but everyone knew her as Nana. She was born on November 22, 1936 and lived 85 wonderful years.
She was a strong woman of faith and always put her family first.
Listening to music like Andrea Bocelli, playing the piano, and singing were all a part of Nana's daily routine. She was a lover of animals, but most known for her love of chocolate and sweets! She was a committed and loyal mom, daughter, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed sharing her love of classic movies with her grandchildren and making her infamous turkey sandwiches and cheese-whiz nachos. While she was a woman of class, she was also funny, spunky, and sassy. Her sarcasm made all of us laugh.
Nana/Dorothy/Mom will forever be in our hearts and was loved by so many.
Her legacy lives on through her seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
